Lillian Barden, facilitator of Lets Talk Coastsiders,
showed leadership that never made us fell as outsiders.
She reached out to communities in the San Mateo West,
by sharing insights that were always the best.
We’d grown in fondness to weekly see her smiling face,
Zooming us all in friendship to share a well-being space.
We know she’s now welcomed by a higher power,
with an out-stretched hand and a warm embrace.
Though we all feel the loss of her no longer amongst us,
we have these treasured memories she shared with little fuss:
Her wealth of knowledge
Her common sense
Her caring of others
Keeping us “on track” in the present tense.
Knowing this, her legacy lives on in all she touched.
Let it be known to all that she meant so much.
